Thanks to Michael Edwards we now have this sophisticated wheel. So, we know what we are sniffing at. There are four traditional fragrance families. Floral, Oriental, Woody and Fresh. At Doss Man Soap we gravitate towards the Fougère olfactory family. Fougère is french for fern. This large family of scents usually contain fragrance elements from each of the other four families; citrus from the fresh family, oak moss and woods from the woody family, coumarin and incense from the Oriental family, and lavender from the floral family.
Chypre meaning cyrpus, Leather, Woody, Ambery, and Floral are the other traditional fragrance families that will be talked about in later posts.

What does this mean to you?
Each Doss Man Soap Bar is unique. We work everyday on developing scents that the man in your life will enjoy. Aromatic notes are mainly composed of sage, rosemary, thyme and lavender usually complemented with citrus and spicy notes. These compositions’ "manly" character makes them an all-time favorite here at Doss Man Soap and subsequently a favorite of yours.
