Hi, 

 

My name is Rodney. And that's my face. I proudly served my country in the US Army, and when I got back my life changed dramatically.  My baby sister passed away, my marriage was over, and on top of all that I was homeless.

When this picture was taken I was standing on Buckroe beach in Virginia looking over the horizon contemplating my existence. How had I gotten here? I was at my lowest point. But if I've learned anything over my 40 plus years on this earth is that I never give up. I pulled myself up by my bootstraps and with one step at a time regained my footing.

I started making  Doss Man soap in my kitchen when my wife and I started notices skin issues getting worse. I channeled my Mississippi roots and remembered a natural handmade bar soap recipe my grandma used to make when I was a kid. It worked for us, and then it worked for family and friends who started to ask us to  make natural soap for them. 

 

The man in this picture is my motivation to keep pushing towards my goals and to live my dreams regardless of what happens around me. Peace and Serenity live inside me. And my skin is better for it.
